RestaurQuant ("we," "our," "the app") provides restaurant sales, menu, and staffing analytics. This page explains what information we collect, how we use it, and who we share it with.
When you sign up, we collect a username, email address, and password (stored as a one-way cryptographic hash — we never store or can view your actual password).
To power your dashboard, we store the restaurant data you provide: sales, menu items and prices, staff roster (name, role, pay rate), tips, and labor hours. This comes either from files you upload or, if you connect Toast or Square, directly from their APIs using credentials you provide or authorize. Toast and Square credentials are stored encrypted (AES-256) and used only to sync your own data.
Subscription payments are processed entirely by Stripe. We never receive or store your card number — only a Stripe customer/subscription reference needed to manage your billing status.
If you use the chat assistant, your questions and the relevant business data needed to answer them are sent to Anthropic's API (Claude) to generate a response. This is used solely to answer your question and is not used to train models.
We use Sentry for error monitoring so we can detect and fix bugs, which may include technical context about a request when an error occurs.
We send account-related email (a welcome email on signup, password reset links) via Resend. We don't send marketing email.
Stripe (payments), Anthropic (AI assistant, including web search for questions that need it), Toast and Square (only your own restaurant's data, via credentials you supply or authorize), Sentry (error monitoring), Resend (transactional email), and Railway (our hosting provider). We do not sell your data or share it for advertising.
Your data is retained as long as your account is active. Free-trial connections that expire without converting to a paid subscription have their Toast or Square credentials and synced data automatically deleted; the account itself is kept.
You can delete individual uploaded files or your Toast/Square connection at any time from Settings. You can permanently delete your entire account and all associated data yourself from Settings → Delete Account.
RestaurQuant is a business tool for restaurant operators and is not directed at children.
